Dress for the muse

The dress was specifically designed for Adela Banášová at the Art Awards Ceremony 2013 by Tatra Banka. Adela, as the muse of the ceremony, was not only an exclusive model but also hosted the show together with Jaroslav Dušek and Jakub Kohák. The presence of two dominant male personalities on stage prompted me to focus on issues of gender relations and a question of male/female distinctions. Therefore, my aim was to make Adela “equal” with her co-hosts on stage by creating a competitive and provoking outfit. Inspired by Adela’s strong, charismatic and witty personality, I designed a neutral man-woman dress which might be perceived unexpected for a female host of such an occasion. Adela wore black corset jumpsuit made from silk and with the transparent, fragile organza dress on top.
